PENGUINS IN LOVE

Penguins have been elected by some researchers as the most loyal of animals.Their union is very romantic from the very beginning, from the moment the male penguin declares her love for the chosen one. The penguin inspects meticulously the ice and chooses a pebble to bring as a gift to her and once chosen it places it in front of her paws; if she accepts the union it is sealed and the pebble will symbolically be the first stone of the nest in which the two will go to live together. Once the egg has been laid, both will take over in the hatching even for long periods, to allow both of them to obtain food.

The penguins, however, can also be unconventional: in Australia a couple of male penguins adopted an abandoned egg, they hatched each other and together they raised the baby born, like a family. For penguins, love is love.
