Swans par excellence represent the idea of eternal love. They are one of the most striking examples of monogamy, because they create a bond that keeps them together for life.
When two swans choose each other they give life to a real dance on the water: they swim together, dipping their beaks several times in the water, get closer, rub their foreheads against each other and finally cross their necks as if to symbolically seal their union.
